January 17th, 2014 9:00 am

Here is top five destinations to visit in New Jersey. New Jersey is sure to be a place you will love and enjoy!

1. Atlantic City NJ.

Atlantic City offers hotels, and boardwalks for the entire family, while the serious gambler enjoys a nice night, or nights at a casino. Casinos in Atlantic City offer games such as Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Multiple Types of Poker, and much much more. Texas Hold Em has taken the world by storm, so there are always tournaments being played at every casino in Atlantic City. Many Professional Poker Players are always at the Casinos in AC. Concerts, and fancy restaurants also fill the Casinos with a fun filled evening of entertainment and luxury. If the whole family goes, they will enjoy the long fun filled beaches, the boardwalk, and the games that fill the boardwalk. Hotels have great room service, and television with every channel available. AC is a definite vacation spot for the family, and gambler.

2. Wildwood NJ.

Wildwood has everything, beaches, cultural events, boardwalks, fun fun fun! I visit Wildwood NJ every summer, and it just gets better and better. Wildwood is probably known for it’s boardwalk, as it is the biggest in NJ. Morey’s Pier which it is called is the name of the boardwalk, and it has numerous piers all serving fun entertainment, including rides, games, and food. There are always Hotels, and Motels available, with a huge selection to choose from. If you like a hotel or motel close to the beach, or a little away from the beach they have them, so everyone is in store for something they will enjoy. Wildwood is NJ’s number one vacation spot, so why not bring the family along and enjoy some great entertainment.

3. Six Flags Great Adventure – Jackson NJ.

Six Flags theme parks are all throughout the USA, but when you come to the one in NJ, expect to have a great time. Even though there are always thousands and thousands of people there daily, and long lines. You can expect to have a fun time. Many of the lines have DJ’s playing music to flow the traffic more freely. If you have ever been to a top notch theme park, Six Flags is probably the best theme park in the USA. If you are coming to NJ, Jackson is definitely a sure stop for any family wanting to have a great time.

4. Meadowlands Sports Complex – East Ruthorford NJ.

There is an outside section of the Meadowlands, that features tellers for betting, a bar, food, and tables. You can watch the races up close, and enjoy a nice summer night while watching the ponies run. If you aren’t into gambling you can still have a good time. There is plenty to do at the Racetrack, and why not bring the whole family along to enjoy it with you. Not only is there a Racetrack at the Meadowlands, but there is a football stadium known as Giants Stadium, and the Arena, known as Continental Airlines Arena, which is home to the NJ Nets, and the NJ Devils. At Giants Stadium you can enjoy Jets, and Giants games, along with Soccer, and many many concerts, etc. Overall there is always something to do at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, so go and have a great time in East Rutherford NJ!

5. Long Beach Island NJ.

This is a must visit place in NJ. While this is still a part of NJ, it is a small island off the coast of NJ. Crossing a bridge is all it takes to get you hear, but it sure is a nice stay. Whether you are into Bird Watching, Beach Going, or Cruises, and Cultural Activities, LBI is your choice of stay. Bird Lovers will enjoy a nice view at the Barneget Lighthouse in LBI, which is only a smidge of what LBI has to offer. Beach Lovers can enjoy fun filled shores, with the ocean only a few feet down. If you aren’t into the Ocean you can enjoy the warmth of the Bay, where many people go if the Ocean is either too chilly, or if they want a calmer ride. Boaters can enjoy the Bay and Ocean as well. There are always Cruises going on in LBI also, so if you are into boating with friends and family, then this would be a great possibility for you. LBI has many restaurants, and diners, so you can always find some place to eat without long lines. If you want to relax and enjoy a nice movie, there are plenty of movie theaters in LBI also, so whatever you are into LBI offers top notch entertainment, and great beaches all for affordable prices.

Why New Jersey is the Best State to Live In

June 29th, 2012 12:12 pm

Often the butt of jokes from visitors from neighboring states, and negative stereotyping from TV shows like the Sopranos, despite all of that, New Jersey continues to attract people looking for good paying jobs, quality healthcare and education, awesome leisure activities, and a great place to raise kids.

I am quick to acknowledge that New Jersey is not an inexpensive state to live in. The definition of best does not mean “cheap” or “inexpensive”.

While you may be paying more, New Jersey has the nation’s best state and municipal services contributing to an infrastructure that supports a safe environment and a variety of quality of life services. As a wise old man once told me “You get what you pay for”.

Top Five Reasons Why New Jersey is the Best State to Live In.

Healthcare – By almost any measure, NJ is at the top of any list in states with the best healthcare. Ranked #1 in lowest (best) population under served by primary care physicians and ranked 7th in lowest infant mortality rate in 48 states. Source: AARP. Ranked 8th out of 50 states in number of Physicians/1000. Source: U.S. Census Bureau 2004-2006 Data. And just across the river in NYC and Philadelphia, New Jersey residents have access to some of the best medical institutions and doctors in the world.

Low Crime Rate – Ranked 4th in property crime and 13th in violent crime out of 31 states east of the Mississippi River. Source: U.S. Census Bureau 2004-2006 Data. And when you consider that New Jersey has the highest population density in the U.S., New Jersey is a very safe place to live and is a credit to the state and the municipalities in crime protection and law enforcement.

Student Education Grades K-12 – New Jersey stands tall when it comes to education; New Jersey is Ranked #1 out of 50 states in Grade 8 to High School graduation rates; Source: National Board and Educational Testing Policy and Ranked #4 in the lowest (best) Student/Teacher ratio. Source: IES National Center for Education Statistics.

Entertainment – New Jersey is a Mecca for entertainment. Because of the states small size, world class entertainment is in easy reach of most New Jersey residents. There are major entertainment venues throughout the state as well as the hotel casino’s, and the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey is a magnet for world class entertainment. New Jersey also has 2 NFL teams, a NBA team, and a NHL Team. And with New York City and Philadelphia, just across the river with Broadway shows and major entertainment venues, the entertainment options for New Jersey residents are unbeatable.

Geographic Diversity – With outstanding beaches like Wildwood being the best on the East Coast, beautiful hills and mountains in Northwest NJ, and quaint Victorian towns like Cape May, New Jersey’s diverse geography is easily accessible within an hour’s drive from almost any place in the state. National Geographic magazine has called New Jersey “America in Miniature.”
